In game number eighty-two of the regular season, the Golden State Warriors defeated the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 109-94. Steve Kerr kept Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala out for rest, but that did not stop the Warriors from showing out one more time before the end of the regular season. Stephen Curry scored twenty points on 6-17 shooting from the field and 5-14 from the three-point line. Kevin Durant scored twenty-nine points on 11-16 shooting from the field and 5-7 from the three-point line. Klay Thompson added in twelve points on 4-12 shooting from the field.

Now that the regular season has come to a close, the Golden State Warriors can now focus on making it back to the NBA Finals for the third straight year. Kevin Durant has now played in three games since coming back from his knee injury and has progressed well in each of the three games. With this as the main focus for the Warriors in the last three games, Steve Kerr was able to sit each star player at least one game before the start of the playoffs and Andre Iguodala essentially getting a weeks rest. This rest was critical for the players because they were able to to let any previous injuries during the season heal while also getting a much needed rest while playing in almost eighty-two games. The Warriors will begin their opening round playoff series against the Portland Trailblazers on Sunday afternoon and there has already been a shot fired by Blazers star Damian Lillard. Lillard said to a sideline reporter “Blazers in six” when asked about the upcoming series against the Warriors. Lillard grew up in Oakland, CA so you can only imagine how big of a playoff series this will be for him. Catch the start of Game 1 of the series on Sunday afternoon starting at 12:30 p.m.PT/3:30 p.m.ET on ABC and do not forget to cheer on your Golden State Warriors!
