The Golden State Warriors lose the second game of a back-to-back last night against the Washington Wizards 112-108. It was another woeful shooting night for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors as the best shooting team in the NBA failed for the second straight game to shoot 50% as a team. Stephen Curry shot 9-20 from the field and a dreadful 2-9 from the three-point line en route to scoring twenty-five points. Draymond Green seemed to be the only Warrior having a good as he posted his second straight double-double in as many games with fourteen points and fourteen assists.
The lost to the Washington Wizards though, was not the loss the Golden State Warriors were focused on. During the the first minute of the game, Kevin Durant left the game with a knee injury. Looking back at the replay, Zaza Pachulia was pushed aside by Wizards center Marcin Gortat and subsequently falling into Kevin Durant’s left knee. Kevin Durant immediately limped over to the sideline and checked himself out of the game. The positive side of this may be the fact that he walked over to the sideline under his own power and did not need to be carried off the floor. Stay tuned to my next post covering the exact injury Kevin Durant suffered and what the Warriors might do to fill the void from losing the 2014 MVP.
