On a night where the Warriors were coming off arguably one of their worst three-point shooting nights of the season against Denver on Monday, the team bounced back with a commanding 109-86 victory over the visiting Sacramento Kings. This win extended the Warriors already record-breaking regular season consecutive game streak without losing two in a row to 138 games. This record-breaking streak dates back to April 2014 where the Warriors suffered two consecutive losses from April 5-7 2014.

With just looking at the final score of 109-86, people will assume the Warriors dominated start to finish against the Kings. This was not the case in this game as the two teams had just played each other on February 4th in Sacramento, where the Warriors came away with an overtime loss at the hands of the Kings. At the beginning of the third quarter, the Kings had a 50-47 lead until the Warriors went on a thunderous 40-12 run in the final ten minutes and forty seconds of the third quarter. During that third quarter, Klay Thompson scored seventeen of his thirty-five points and had more made shots (5-5) than the Kings did the whole quarter (4-21).  Stephen Curry added in thirteen points to go along with his nine assists and Kevin Durant ended the night with twenty-one points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

Another notable fact from this game was nearing the end of the second quarter, Draymond Green was assessed two technical fouls after further arguing with the referee on a questionable foul on Green against Demarcus Cousins, the Kings star center. This subsequently led to Draymond Green being ejected from the game after receiving the two technical fouls. Those were Green’s tenth and eleventh technical fouls of the season and if he reaches sixteen technical fouls, Green will be suspended for one game. Green has already had three technical fouls rescinded from his count this season. Watch the next Warriors game on February 23rd when they take on the Los Angeles Clippers at Oracle Arena and go for ten straight victories over their division foe!
